Paducah Area Development District Asks for Your Feedback on Transportation Safety Survey

Date of Release:
April 16, 2025

The Purchase Area Development District is conducting a Transportation Safety Survey for Ballard, Calloway, Carlisle, Fulton, Graves, Hickman, Marshall, and McCracken counties. The feedback gathered will directly inform the development of a regional Comprehensive Safety Action Plan for the Safe Streets and Roads for All (SS4A) grant program.

The survey has two sections. The first part collects general demographic information and information about overall safety trends within the survey area. The second section has a map for respondents to identify specific areas of concern on the roadway system.

Survey responses must be submitted by May 2, 2025, to be included in the Safety Action Plan.

Take the Transportation Safety Survey

This survey will be combined with crash analysis and local agency review of roadways to identify potential safety issues on county roadways. Once identified, the ADD and local counties will work to identify countermeasures to improve safety. The Safety Action Plan will then be used to direct local forces and funds and pursue additional funding available from the Kentucky Transportation Cabinet and USDOT.

The Purchase Area Development District will share the results with the public once compiled.
