About Mental Health and Suicide Prevention Months
May is Mental Health Month, and September is Suicide Prevention Month. The City of Paducah wants to increase the public’s awareness that mental health conditions, such a depression or anxiety, are real, common, and treatable. We are working to create a community that promotes mental wellness and supports prevention efforts.
Paducah is urging all citizens, government agencies, in addition to public and private institutions to increase awareness and understanding of mental illnesses, reduce stigma and discrimination, and promote appropriate and accessible services.
