With the Independence Day holiday, there are schedule changes for some City services.
- City Hall City Hall located at 300 South 5th Street and other city offices will be closed Friday, July 4
- Garbage Collection Public Works crews will NOT collect garbage on Friday, July 4. Friday’s routes will be collected Monday, July 7.
- Compost Facility The City of Paducah Compost Facility located at 1560 North 8th Street is closed to the public on Friday, July 4.
- Pool The Noble Park Pool is OPEN on July 4 from 12 until 7 p.m.
Independence Day Celebration Paducah's Independence Day Celebration, sponsored by Ingram Barge Company and Pine Bluff Materials, will be Friday, July 4 on the riverfront in historic downtown Paducah. Food vendors will start serving by 5:30 p.m. They will be along Jefferson Street between Water Street and 2nd Street. Musical entertainment also starts at that time on Wilson Stage at the foot of Broadway.
The entertainment lineup is as follows:
- 5:30 p.m. – Cody Campbell
- 7:00 p.m. – Cody Joe Hodges
- 8:30 p.m. – Paducah Community Band
- 9:10 p.m. – National Anthem performed by Paducah Community Band
- 9:15 p.m. – Fireworks Show
If a thunderstorm is in the area at the scheduled time for the fireworks, the fireworks show will be delayed until the weather clears or rescheduled for July 5.
