Mayor Brandi Harless returned late yesterday from the International Economic Development Council’s 2020 Leadership Summit held Sunday through Tuesday in Tampa, Florida.
Mayor Harless was invited to serve on a panel of speakers during a session titled, Land Money, and Politics: Collaborating with Existing and Newly Elected Officials. The panelists also included the City Manager of Roswell, New Mexico and economic development experts.
The session centered on the elements of successful communities which include a focus on results, a commitment to transparency, and strategies for representing while engaging your entire community.
Mayor Harless says, “I was proud to represent Paducah and our region at the Leadership Summit. There are so many great things to share about our community and the collaborations underway to improve the quality of life for our residents. I emphasized the importance of setting a goal, collaborating with partners, maintaining a learning mindset, and holding each other accountable. We are seeing results here locally, and I was excited to share our progress.”
