The City of Paducah Compost Facility located at 1560 North 8th Street will reopen to the public on Monday, September 9. The facility has been closed since August 20 for the routine grinding of brush.
Please note that the facility will close to the public once again beginning Tuesday, September 24 to complete the process to grind the brush.
What is the Compost Facility? The regular schedule for the Compost Facility, which is operated by the Public Works Department, is Monday through Friday from 7 a.m. until 3 p.m. The Facility accepts brush, leaves, and yard debris from Paducah residents at no charge. There is a fee for contractors and those outside the City limits to drop off yard debris. Compost products are available for purchase by the bucket load.
